Electric furnace transformers are specialized transformers designed based on the working principles, load characteristics and operational features of various electric furnaces. They specifically include: steelmaking arc furnace transformers, ladle refining furnace transformers, electroslag furnace transformers, submerged arc furnace transformers, power frequency furnace transformers and other AC electric furnace transformers, as well as medium frequency induction furnace transformers, silicon carbide, and graphite furnace transformers for DC electric furnaces.
- Industrial electric furnace transformers are mainly classified into three types: resistance furnace transformers, arc furnace transformers and induction furnace transformers.

Core
- The core material is high-quality cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets insulated with mineral oxide (from Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel in China).
- Through the control of the process of shearing and stacking the silicon steel sheets, the loss level, no-load current and noise are reduced to the minimum.
- The core is specially reinforced to ensure the transformer structure is reliable during normal operation and transportation.
Windings
- The low-voltage windings are made of high-quality copper foil, offering excellent insulation and withstand performance.
- The high-voltage windings are typically wound with insulated copper wire, using the patented technology of Hengfengyou Electric.
- They have a very good capacity to withstand radial stress caused by short circuits.
